Legal notice

Last updated: 13 October 2026

This notice identifies the owner of hostalcasaapelio.com and explains the use of the website and how we handle booking requests.

1. Who runs this website

In compliance with article 10 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI-CE), these are our details:

  • Owner: Apelio García Sánchez, sole trader (autónomo)
  • Tax ID (NIF): 03824792F
  • Trading name: Hostal Restaurante Casa Apelio
  • Activity: accommodation (hostal) and restaurant
  • Address: Calle Real de Arriba, 1, 45470 Los Yébenes (Toledo), Spain
  • Telephone: +34 925 320 419
  • Email: [email protected]

2. Booking requests

How it works

  1. You choose your dates and room on the website.
  2. You fill in your details (first name, surname, email and telephone) and, if you wish, a comment. Before sending, you see a summary of the request and can correct any details. To send it, you have to tick the box for the booking conditions.
  3. You send the request and receive an email confirming that we have received it. At this point the booking is not yet confirmed.
  4. We review each request by hand and reply by email: we confirm it, decline it (for example, if there is no availability) or ask you for more information.

Before you enter into the contract, we show you the conditions that apply to the accommodation. You can read them at any time in Booking conditions.

The booking is firm when we send you the confirmation email. That email is your proof of booking and shows the dates, the rooms and the total price. We keep a copy of the booking in our system. You can make the request in Spanish or in English.

If you notice a mistake after sending the request, email or call us and we will correct it.

Price and payment

The accommodation prices we display include VAT. Before sending the request, you will see the total price of your stay and the prices of the extras you have selected, including taxes and any applicable charges.

The website does not charge anything: it does not ask for card details or take payments. You pay at the establishment in cash, by Bizum or by credit or debit card (we do not accept American Express).

Changes and cancellations

Free cancellation with advance notice. To cancel or change a booking, call or email us.

As this is an accommodation service for specific dates, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply (article 103.l of the Spanish consolidated General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users).

3. Use of the website

The website is open and free to use. You agree to use it lawfully and, in particular, not to:

  • give false details, or another person’s details without their permission, when requesting a booking or writing to us;
  • try to access restricted areas, damage the website or overload it;
  • use the forms to send unsolicited advertising.

We may decline requests and messages that do not meet these conditions.

4. Intellectual property

The texts, photographs, logo and design of this website belong to the owner or to their authors. You may view them and share links to the website, but you may not copy them or use them for commercial purposes without our written permission.

5. Liability

We try to keep the website’s prices, availability, opening hours and services up to date. The confirmation sets out the agreed terms of your booking. If we find an error that means the price or terms have to change, we will tell you and you will decide whether to accept the new proposal. This does not limit your legal rights or allow us to change an existing booking contract on our own.

The website may be interrupted for maintenance or because of technical faults. We are not responsible for the content of third-party websites we link to, such as Google Maps.

6. Privacy and cookies

How we handle your data: privacy policy. Which cookies we use and how to choose them: cookie policy.

7. Applicable law, courts and complaints

The applicable law is the one that applies under the relevant mandatory rules. This notice does not limit the rights you have under consumer protection law.

The competent courts will be those determined by the legal rules on jurisdiction. This notice does not ask you to give up any courts you are entitled to go to.

You can make a complaint by email to [email protected], by telephone on +34 925 320 419 or in writing to Calle Real de Arriba, 1, 45470 Los Yébenes (Toledo), Spain. We will give you an acknowledgement and reply as soon as possible, within 15 days of your complaint at the latest. Official complaint forms are available at the establishment, for both the accommodation and the restaurant. If we cannot resolve your complaint, we will tell you, in a form you can keep, which alternative dispute resolution body is competent and whether we will take part in its procedure. You may also contact the consumer authorities, without affecting your right to take legal action.

8. Changes to this notice

We may update this legal notice. The date of the last update appears at the top. Each booking request is governed by the version in force on the day you sent it.
